On Vacation 9:26 PM, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2006 Here, in India, the weather is great - temperatures in the mid 80s, nice and sunny. The humidity is the only problem; it gets super sweaty sometimes. The journey home was uneventful - the 42 hour journey has become such a routine, it's actually scary. I watched 5 in-flight movies (Click, The Wild, Nacho Libre, Office Space, and The Da Vinci Code) and spent lots of time on Sudoku. Here at home, preparations for my sister's wedding are in full swing. Expected turn-out is 2000 and we're to provide food for everyone, starting from the previous day of the wedding. It's bigger than what I had in mind. Lately I've been going around distributing wedding invitations and shopping for clothes. And then of course, the great food! Anyways, I'm already bracing myself for the cold that will greet me in Seattle as I start the journey back in 2 weeks. That and that darned Day-Light savings oddity. PERMALINK | 0 COMMENT(S)

Toy #2 10:43 PM, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 03, 2006 Remember the time I bought a Nano? And this time when I wished the iRiver portable was available? Well, this time there are no disappointments. For my India trip, I got myself a 2GB iRiver Clix! This one is tiny! And it boasts 25 hours of battery life. The best part is, you don't need to install any software on your PC to transfer songs. My New Toy 10:37 PM, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 03, 2006 My trip to India is nearing and usually I carry a laptop with me on my trip. However my work laptop with a 14" screen is pretty big and weighs about 5 pounds. So, I decided to get myself a small portable notebook. With a 8.9" screen this tiny notebook weighs just 2.2 pounds (1Kg). And I just got this in mail today! I've put my cell-phone next to it to show how tiny the laptop is. PERMALINK | 1 COMMENT(S)
