iTunes is a piece of crap! 10:22 PM, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2008 To update my iPhone's software iTunes insists on downloading and installing the latest version. Also, it gives a very friendly suggestion to install Safari - the option is of course turned on by default. During installation, it proceeds to shutdown my running instance of Outlook and restarts it after installation. Also, the Windows Search Indexer service that I had previously disabled on Vista automagically started up again and was chugging away. And to top it off, it requires me to restart the machine. Are Apple's developers really this bad or are they just doing this to irritate people that run Windows?
